Yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow, And we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go. For the children, they mark, and the children they know the place where the sidewalk ends.

ONE WEEK OLD!

Talk about the fastest week of my life! Whew...it has flown by! Anne is such a good baby! We are all just eating her up. Her brothers and sister are crazy about her and shower her with love and patience.
I will not try to gloss things up, today was rough...I am tired...I yelled...my house is falling apart around me...
Oh well. A small price to pay for this little beauty!

A GREAT PAIR OF LEGS!

I like to joke that I married Evan for his thick hair and skinny legs...so that my girls would have a chance to escape my genes...

Cameron got Evan's thick hair, and look at these legs!

Lucky Ewan!

Zoo with NANNY!

We took one afternoon to play with Nanny before she left and went to the zoo. I was really glad we got to do something fun with the kids before she left.

Anne slept the whole time we were there. She is such a good baby. She only cries a tiny bit when she is hungry.

BABY ANNE IS HERE!

Kathryn Anne McAllister was born at 7:31 am Tuesday morning. She weighed 7lbs. 9oz, and is 19.75 inches long. It was a long haul getting her here...my induction started just after noon on Monday! It took 18 hours to get from being dilated 3 centimeters when we arrived to 7 centimeters at 6:30 on Tuesday morning. Then everything went really fast and she was born an hour later! Because the night was going to be so long, we sent my mom home to sleep with plans for her to come back when things got closer. I called my mom at 6:30 telling her to come, and then two contractions later I called her back to tell her to "get here now!" She just made it in time! Baby Anne is much smaller than our other babies...a pound less, two inches shorter, with a head over an inch smaller...she is a petite little beauty with a high pitched cry like tiny kitten. We are all just eating her up! In Heather's words "Oh! She is sooo TUTE!"

Proud parents

Cuddles with Nanny...

All dressed and ready to come home!

Ewan and Heather are both feeling a little insecure and needing lots of love, but they are sure crazy about their new sister!

FUN STUFF

It has been a while since I have posted...we have been very, very busy getting all of the last minute details taken care of before my mom was to arrive last night and I am to be induced Monday morning.
I had two days this week that really seemed to be shaping up to a trip to the hospital, but both times my labor stopped cold around 11 pm. Both times this happened, it really got me inspired to make sure every last detail was taken care of, so yesterday when we were waiting for my mom to arrive, I ended up having time to just enjoy my kiddos and do some Halloween crafts. We did some painting and made Orange Rice Crispy Treats.

So here's the plan:
Monday morning at 11:00, Evan and I will go to St. Vincents Hospital and check in for a possible turning of the baby (she's been a little shifty with her position), a possible induction, or a possible c-section. That's what's scheduled, but most likely, it will just be an induction.
With each of my four deliveries, there has been some kind of complication that required an induction at 38 weeks, and this time around it's Gestational Diabetes. I'm hoping that because my body has been acting so ready, that things go smoothly and quickly. I actually have no nervousness or apprehension, which surprises me a little.
Anyway. Just filling you in on where we are at. The next time I post it will be with baby pictures!
YAY!

LARGE

I AM SO READY TO BE DONE BEING PREGNANT!

I've got about two weeks to go...wish me luck.

CHANELING RAY CHARLES

This is Heather singing and playing her little heart out this morning before school. Her song went something like this...

"On-Oh-Doggles had a farm,
E-I-E-I-O
And on hims farm he had a moo-cow
E-I-E-I-O!
Hey Daddy! Can you teach me this piano?"
She may be getting some piano lessons soon. She is a very determined little girl.
