Yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow, And we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go. For the children, they mark, and the children they know the place where the sidewalk ends.

HEATHER'S FOURTH BIRTHDAY

Our sweet Heather turned four right after our move to the Tri-Cities. We spent the morning together as a family at the sweet little local Children's museum. The kids had a blast playing princess, prince, knight and dragon together!
That night we had a very low key family party with presents...
and "decorate it yourself" snowman cupcakes!

KATHRYN ANNE'S BIRTHDAY

In the chaos of packing to move that week, it was not the first birthday party I would normally have thrown, but we had a great time cellebrating with friends who we miss now very, very much!

HALLOWEEN

Halloween was a big adventure this year...we MOVED that day, quickly unpacked our truck and went to our friends the Perry's for dinner and Trick or Treating. Thanks Trisa for saving the day! You are the best!
Kathryn Anne the Lady Bug
Cameron was Jango Fett (not Boba Fett!) from Star Wars
Ewan trick-or-treating at his last day of pre-school...the day before we moved.
Heather my Bumble Bee at her pre-school party.

UPDATE

So October has been one crazy, crazy month.
It all started with my middle of the night trip to the emergency room...
Fallowed by a few days R and R in the hospital...
Fallowed by scheduling another trip to the hospital to have my gallbladder out...
Next came the phone call offering Evan his dream job (working as a Nuclear Pharmacist for a company called Cardinal Health), but we have to move to the Tri-Cities in Washington...
A few hours later I went under the knife...
My parents came to watch the kids whilst I recovered...

On our THIRD trip to the Tri Cities in one week, we found this little Rental for us to live in while we figure out where and when we want to buy...
Now we are up to our eyeballs in getting ready for the big move. All this while recovering from surgery! Thank goodness for help from our family/friends and church community. This has been one crazy month!
OH and we're moving on HALLOWEEN! hope we get the truck unloaded in time to go trick or treating in our new neighborhood!

Today!
Out little Annie the Pooh is ONE today. She is such a joy! This past year has just flown by and I can't even remember life before she joined our family!
At ONE year old she can:
say Uh-Uh (and shake her head no), UH-OH, Bye Bye, Dada and Mama
Play patty-cake with all the actions
Cruise on the furniture
try to put shoes and socks on by pressing them into her feet
try to comb her hair
melt my heart by giving me impromptu slobbery kisses!
Happy Birthday Baby girl!
We Love you!

CONNOR JAMES

Six years ago this week we found out that the baby boy we were expecting had passed away. He was born on August 19th. We named him Connor James and buried his little body on Grandma and Grandpa McAllister's farm and planted a tree. We always try to do something together as a family on Connor's birthday. This year we went for a family hike.

Cameron kept blurting out to passersby on the trail, "We're celebrating my dead brother's birthday!"
We read a sign that there was poison oak in the forest, so not to leave the trail. Cameron was so concerned that he told Ewan to hold his hand so that he could protect him from it. So sweet.
Six years...three more babies...and now the tree we planted is about thirty feet tall. What I learned from being Connor's mom for that short, short time is that being a mom is the best, most holy thing I can do with my life. I learned that God has a plan for our family and I can trust in that plan...even when it's hard. I was never the same after the summer of 2003. We miss you Connor.

MY BABY BIG GIRL

Anne has been a very slow developer in her gross motor skills. At 9 1/2 months she is finally bearing weight on her legs and starting to get the idea that she wants to be a big girl.
She got up on her knees for the first time (and it made her REALLY mad!).

She is SO over baby food and eats best if I just give her the bowl to have at it!

SPACE PARTY

For Ewan's first over "friend" birthday party, we did a space theme. We played "pin the space ship on earth" (the picture is upside down, I see).

We also made Alien Masks and played Alien, Alien Astronaut
Ewan's friends Ezra and Clayton and Heather watch him open presents
