Yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow, And we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go. For the children, they mark, and the children they know the place where the sidewalk ends.

BATH FUN (for some)

Ewan and Heather have a nightly bath together.
We have our little routine down...with includes them helping me wash their hair.
Heather (ever the little Mommy) was determined to wash Ewan's. He on the other hand, was not so keen on the idea.
They really are so cute together. Most of the time they get along great. We used to say we don't worry about Heather, she holds her own with the boys...but funny girl is holding more than her own these days, she fancys herself in charge sometimes!

KINDERGARTEN FUN DAY

I got to go with Cameron to his "Fun Day" at school, which was basically just activities outside for all of the Kindergartners. He was SO proud to introduce his mom to all of his friends!
We traced his body on the ground and he drew in all the details.
Playing "tent" under the big parachute.
LOOK at that BUBBLE!
Bubble Fun.
"Fishing" in the little pool.

IF THEY GOT TO PICK...

Now begin the negotiations between Evan and I as to what to name our new daughter. We'll let you know when we get it ironed out...
But in the mean time, we asked the kids what they thought and here are their answers...
Cameron: "How about Emily!"
Ewan: "Pumpkin Bat!"
Heather: "I don't know."

THE VERDICT IS IN!

After two weeks and thirteen votes, dear friends and family...the results are in!
This beautiful, perfect, baby is...
Much to our delight...
A GIRL! (most of) you were right!
I have to say, I just cried and cried. I love my boys, I would love to have more boys because they are just great, but for Heather's sake, I really wanted her to have a sister. I never had a sister. I have wonderful sisters in Law whom I love, but I never had someone to play Barbies with...Oh wait a second...I guess Andrew played with me sometimes! (he he)
We call our boys "the boys" all the time...now it will be the "the girls" too!!!!!

My rapidly growing tummy.

(funny story)...We told Cameron that mommy was going to have some pictures taken of inside her tummy and they might be able to tell if it is a boy or a girl...I said "Can you guess how they tell what it is?" And he replied "Penis or no penis?" Smart boy.

20 hours of Bliss!

I surprised Evan with a special "Congratulations" for surviving these last few months of Pharmacy School. All he knew was that we were leaving at 4:00.
Our dear friend Marilyn stayed with the kids and provided a gift certificate to a super nice Seafood Restaurant. We had an amazing dinner...and then hit the road...
By 6:30, we were out in the country in the middle of nowhere checking into our B&B.
We spent almost two hours just walking in the country and talking...down country roads...
And through vineyards...
Then we came back and Evan watched a baseball game on the big screen TV while I took a long Bath in a huge soaker tub...mmmmm.....
And the bed...the softest, pillow-ee-est, fluffiest, bed with the thickest down comforter I have ever seen! It was very luxurious!
Breakfast consisted of homemade rhubarb muffins, sausage, fruit and yogurt, hash browns, a veggie omelet made with fresh tender asparagus from their garden, a fruit smoothie...I don't know how we ate all that, but we did! It was delicious!
It was the most quiet, relaxed, peaceful, sweet, 20 hours we've had in very, very long time!
Thank you Marilyn!

GRADUATION: PART 1

Evan's Pharmacy program is a duel program between Oregon State and OHSU (Oregon Health Sciences University). So he gets two graduations...last night was the first...

My Handsome Husband in his Doctoral Robes...

OK so I'm pregnant...Thrilled out of my mind that we have made it to this point and then they started the program with a bagpipe band leading the processional...can you just see me blubbering? I was so emotional!

Evan had the great honor of being selected to sing the National Anthem to start off the evening. He was amazing...you can't really hear how good it was on this recording, but I wanted to put it on anyway. I was so proud of him.

Evan's Family came up from Lebanon so support him. This is his brother Kirk, his dad Larry, his mom Cheryl, Dr. Evan McAllister, Me and my huge tummy, our nephew Chris, and his brother Mark.

To make it extra fun, we took the max train into the city (really we did it because we were warned that there wouldn't be much parking).

I've been joking (sort of) that I consider this "our graduation." I feel tremendously proud (and relieved) to be at this point in time. There has been much sacrifice, much compromise, five pregnancies, and a lot of just plain hard work between us in the past seven years. Dr. and Mrs. Evan Boyd McAllister!

We're staying put! After a lot of prayer and trying to decide the right course of action to take after next weeks graduation...I need to say that again NEXT WEEK'S GRADUATION!..Evan has accepted a job with Albertson's/Savon Pharmacy in Portland. We just got word that we were approved for a nice big (2,500 sq. ft) house to rent just a few blocks away from here (and in our same ward!) I am soooo excited and feel like everything is just falling into place. I am enrolling Ewan and Heather at a wonderful pre-school for the fall, that's just around the corner from where we are going to live...I just feel like the doors have all been opened and the way prepared for us...some serious Divine intervention! We don't have to move far away (when I'm huge and pregnant)...we don't have to leave our wonderful ward family at church...I don't have to find a new OB...Cameron can stay in the wonderful Social Communication Program in our School district for kids with Aspergers...I get to keep going to my scrapbooking group and book club that I love...We don't have to leave our wonderful friends...too many blessings to count! HOORAY!
