Evan's Pharmacy program is a duel program between Oregon State and OHSU (Oregon Health Sciences University). So he gets two graduations...last night was the first...

My Handsome Husband in his Doctoral Robes...

OK so I'm pregnant...Thrilled out of my mind that we have made it to this point and then they started the program with a bagpipe band leading the processional...can you just see me blubbering? I was so emotional!

Evan had the great honor of being selected to sing the National Anthem to start off the evening. He was amazing...you can't really hear how good it was on this recording, but I wanted to put it on anyway. I was so proud of him.
Evan's Family came up from Lebanon so support him. This is his brother Kirk, his dad Larry, his mom Cheryl, Dr. Evan McAllister, Me and my huge tummy, our nephew Chris, and his brother Mark.
To make it extra fun, we took the max train into the city (really we did it because we were warned that there wouldn't be much parking).
I've been joking (sort of) that I consider this "our graduation." I feel tremendously proud (and relieved) to be at this point in time. There has been much sacrifice, much compromise, five pregnancies, and a lot of just plain hard work between us in the past seven years.
Dr. and Mrs. Evan Boyd McAllister!

Wow! You post so quick! I'll get ours up someday...
Congrats you two on the graduation! What a great day! The National Anthem was beautiful. I need you guys to make me a CD or something of duets and solos. :)
What an accomplishment!! Congratulations to you all!
Congratulations on "your" graduation! Bad video or good video if you have ever heard Evan sing before you know he did a FABULOUS job!
Best wishes in your future Dr. McAllister! Wow that feels kind a weird to call you a DR. Congrats!
Doesn't it feel great to be done?!! And to have a "Doctor" as your husband?!! Congratulations, Evan, and the National Anthem was beautiful.
Congratulations, McAllisters! I know how hard you guys have worked and how long you've been dreaming of this day. Now go get rich!
Congratulations Evan, I can't tell you how proud we are of you. Your singing was wonderful, truly beautiful, good job. I know I would have cried when they played the pipes, but not as much as when you received your Doctorate, because I know the sacrifice it took for you to do this. They said that during the depression it "made" or "broke" marriages. I think being in school for a long period of time,
(9 years) and going without and having babies is right in line with that too. I know you both have a better marriage, because of the sacrifice, we are proud of both of you, well done.
Becca, I am so happy for you that this is over and you can all get on with making money and raising these wonderful children TOGTHER. I know how much Evan's graduation meant to you I'm so happy for you sweetheart, you're the BEST daughter ever!!!
I love you all
Mom
Me too!. I proud of all you have accomplished. Dr. McAllister, congratulations. You did a great job on the N.A. except you didn't warble or gargle much like is so common these days. Dad Cameron.
Congratulations to you both!!! What an accomplishment. And, I agree with Trisa--I'm all for buying a CD of you two!:)
Congratulations on Part 1! I'm so glad we were able to be there for such a wonderful and special occasion. Evan's song was incredible. We are so proud of both of you and your sweet children.
Now we are looking forward to Part 2.
