Yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow, And we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go. For the children, they mark, and the children they know the place where the sidewalk ends.

ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE...

My Kids put on their first theatrical production for me this week. Cameron got it in his head that he was going to get the kids to all do a play. He was the prince, Heather the princess (in case you can't tell) and Ewan was the Dragon/King/Knight (what ever Cameron told him to be).

The script went something like this...

Prince: "Uh, oh hi, Princess. I'm the prince. I'm going to protect you from the dragon."

Princess: "Dis is my horsey"

Dragon: "I want to be the prince and have a sword!"

Prince: "Uh, Dragon, you are the dragon, isn't it fun to be a dragon? Dragon's get to breath hot fire!"

Dragon: "OK. Hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"

Prince: "Now you are the knight and this is your shoot gun."

Knight: "I want a sword!"

Prince: "But shoot guns can beat swords."

Knight: "OK." (shooting ensues)

Prince: "Now you can be the king and we can be friends."

King: "And I can have a sword?"

Prince: "OK. You can have my sword. I have to kiss the princess 'cause I saved her."

King: "Yay! A SWORD!"

Prince: "I need to kiss you, Princess..."

Princess: "NOOO! I just riding my horsey!"

Prince: "I have to kiss you because you are my princess!"

The End

We're still not sure when we are moving to Kennewick. Chelsea starts school Aug 26th, so I'm hoping to be there by then! :)hopefully in the next week or so.

A Writer/Director in the making! What a great play Cameron. Nanny wishes she had been there to see it. Looks like Heather was enjoying the kissing part!!!
Ewan you made a great dragon, but I also know you are fantastic at welding a sword. I miss the sword fighting you and Cameron did when you were here. I miss you all.

Awwww! I remember doing plays just like that when I was little, only a wee bit different. I was usually the hero, my little sister was my side-kick (or whatever I wanted her to be), and my little brother was the princess (because he really did look cute all made up and my sister and I like having a life-size doll). Thanks for the memory!
